So it has been a while since the last time but i have a very good excuse. Now it is the 12th week and I can happily admit to being free of the overwhelming fatigue and spontaneous nausea that had been plaguing me in the past. I keep looking at my belly, though, and it won’t be long before I’m looking into purchasing some of those stretchable pregnancy jeans. I wonder if they make any ‘acid washed’ ones.

Yesterday I found this cool little pregnancy pillow and I think I’m going to have to get one soon. Doesn’t it look comfortable?

While visiting my parents in CA, I learned to enjoy grapefruit with breakfast in the morning and the inherent beauty of making fresh carrot juice. The coolest thing, other than spending time with my parents and siblings, was running into a cache of old photos and slides. It’s so strange to see how hip my parents once were. I think they were past it when I was born but at least I got some evidence!

I missed posting on the baby’s 10th week and yet I assure you I ate all kinds of good things. One notable event is that we had a sonogram performed to see the heartbeat. In about 8 more weeks they may be able to determine the sex. I think it will be a girl and shan thinks it will be a boy but we both just hope it doesn’t have horns.

Yesterday onthe way home from the gym I decided I wanted to have macaroni and cheese for supper. Not the real homemade kind, but the cheap, fast, and dirty, Kraft cheese and macaroni type, so I stopped at the store. While there, I got some lovely kiwis and purple grapes and more blueberries for fruit salad but while looking at macaroni I was appalled at the caloric waste and after debating a good 5 minutes, went to the ‘organics’ aisle and picked out a few boxes of wholewheat mac and cheese. Slightly fewer calories and whole grain to boot! I think baby was pleased.

This morning I got a wild hair to make peach-blueberry cobbler before work and I did just that. Last night I got a wild hair to make french strawberry custard icecream. I did that too and it was super creamy but almost a little too creamy. Next time instead of using all cream, I will use half milk half cream.
